The Official Birth of GhanaVi
April 1996 marked a turning point for the Ghanaian community in Vicenza. After years of informal gatherings, a small group of determined Ghanaians met in a local office, ready to take the next step. On that day, they signed the notary papers that officially registered the Ghanaian Nationals Association of Vicenza—GhanaVi.
The Founding members, held the pens with pride, knowing that this signature would formalize their commitment to unity and support. The moment was brief, but its impact would be lasting. With the notary’s stamp, GhanaVi was born, a beacon of hope for Ghanaians living far from home.
As they left the office, the group felt a deep sense of achievement. Their shared vision of cultural celebration, mutual support, and community building had been sealed in ink. From that day forward, GhanaVi would be a home for Ghanaians in Vicenza, a place to nurture their roots while growing in a new land.
